Tony Burton:

Tony is enjoying his retirement working at Chadds Frozen Foods as their maintenance engineer! Tony began his
playing career on horn in 1941 and then moved to Tenor Trombone. After a spell serving his country in the
Army, he moved to Bass Trombone and recently to Eb Bass. Perhaps the Soprano will be his next change!
Tony also conducts St Gennys Band and has had a lifelong love of Bands playing at all levels across the UK. In
his spare time Tony ferries Linda and grand-daughter Hannah around, both of whom also play in the band.
Knowing how bossy those two young ladies are, we can begin to see why Tony spends his retirement at
                  Chadds!

Mike Isaac:

Mike joined Hatherleigh Silver Band when he was eight years old on Tenor Horn but decided it was not for
him. A few weeks later Bill Crocker musical director at the time said why don’t you try the Ebb Bass this is
where he says he has shown flair and perfection, well almost, (nothing like blowing your own trumpet) forty years
later. Mike also learnt the G Trombone after two Sunday afternoon practices with George Richards he played this
for a few years returning then back to Ebbass. Highlight of Mikes banding career was playing at the Wembley
Conference Center in 1994. Mike is married with two daughters and manages a team of five greenkeepers on
one of the 18 hole courses at Ashbury Golf Complex. Other hobbies that Mike enjoys include Bonsia Trees, Koi
                 Carp and Computer Games.

Mark Quick: CONTEST SECRETARY, WEBMASTER.

Joined HSB in 1982 on 3rd Cornet. Moved up through the ranks onto Flugel and then Principal Cornet before
finding the Soprano, a position he held for 19 years. 2005 brought another change, this time onto BBb Bass, a
seat that Mark really enjoys. The Sop still gets an airing at the odd carnival when needed. Mark spends his spare
time playing Golf and other outdoor activities. He is the Bands Contest Secretary and Webmaster. Mark works
                 as a Firefighter in Torquay,
