Band President & Bandmaster take to the skies in aid of HSB
On the 27th of September 2025 , Father and Son duo , Richard and Cary Brock took to skies of Devon and took part in a Wing Walk to help raise vital funds for Hatherleigh Silver Band. These funds will help towards more teaching and environmental facilities for our rapidly growing training band and go towards new music upgrades, instruments and repairs.
Richard Brock is the current president and is a trustee of the band. His years of dedication and support to the band has been exceptional. Richard is taking on this wing walk challenge for Hatherleigh Silver Band at 72 years young! Now that is dedication and bravery.
Richard didn't do it alone. He was joined by his son, Cary Brock who is a long serving member of the band, first joining the training band when he was 9 years old, he is now in his 40's! Cary has also held the position of Band Master for 10+ years.
Together they raised £6198.75 for the band!
